Threshold TBS ROUND
The blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND is made from high-grade anodised aluminium E6/C-0 (EV1) and highly shock-resistant, UV-resistant plastic. The cover is made of ribbed plastic and has a non-slip surface. The blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND is designed for French door and front door units made of PVC, wood, metal and wood-metal, as well as for single and double joints, and for doors that open inwards or outwards. Their excellent thermal insulation properties, resistance to driving rain and burglary resistance are complemented by their durability achieved through a wide range of coordinated system components, suitable for a wide variety of profile systems and frame materials. The 28 mm wide thermal separation of impact-resistant plastic is key to the good thermal insulating properties of the blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND.
The blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND (total height 20 mm) complies with the accessibility requirements of DIN 18040 and serves as a practical alternative to a zero-level threshold where it can be demonstrated that the latter is not structurally feasible. Their elegant design and concealed screw fixings allow for discreet integration into modern window and door designs. The blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND is the basic component of our blaugelb Threshold System TBS.
The system comprises precisely matched components that ensure easy assembly, high dimensional accuracy and long-lasting functionality. The system comprises weather strips, seals, endcaps and cover caps, additional profiles, strike plates and protective profiles. All system components are colour-coordinated and feature a light grey finish, which blends in seamlessly with any surface.
For all standard installation depths, the profile and threshold are joined using a counter-milling process and direct screw fastening without the need for an adapter. This connection assures greater stability, no axial distortion, no adapter breakage at low outside temperatures and straightforward assembly in production. Locating the blaugelb Threshold TBS in the profile groove removes the need of additional personnel or equipment.
Additional plinth thermal insulation below the blaugelb Threshold permanently eliminates energy-related weak points on components that are fitted on baseplates. The blaugelb Plinth Thermal Insulation Profile PVC/TK or the blaugelb Plinth Thermal Insulation Profile EPS beneath the blaugelb Threshold TBS ROUND assures permanent tightness of correctly installed seals inwards and outwards, if sealed as per DIN 18355 or 18531 and 18533.
Advantages of counter-milling:
